There’s all types of scratch damage caused on construction sites, ranging from contact damage, scraper/trowel damage and damage caused by cleaning.
Hard water staining caused by lime scale, algae and even salt can all form stains on the glass over time which makes it difficult to keep the glass in pristine condition.
The most common damage on the glass is caused by worn wiper blades. Small particles of grit off the road surface get trapped in the wiper blade and also cause scratching. Side & back windows and vehicles with a glass roof can still be polished.
Scratches and water stain damage from patio doors, conservatories, glass roofs, glass floors, shower screens, table tops and windows.
TRANSPORTATION: Buses / coaches / trains
Graffiti and particularly acid etching as well as scratches on glass can be removed. Replacing the glass or windscreens can cost hundreds, if not thousands of pounds.
COMMERCIAL / RETAIL
Etched graffiti is more common on commercial/retail glass and is caused by the use of screwdrivers or any metal object with a sharp edge. The damage can be removed by polishing with the minimum of distortion.
Acid etching is where an etching chemical is smeared onto the glass causing it to etch or burn into the glass. This is treated with our unique glass polishing system leaving the surface smooth and clear.
As with external glazing we can restore the appearance of internal glass units including glass counter tops, display units, and glass partitions avoiding the cost of expensive replacement.
